Beautiful cottage great location for us to visit distance family and visit the beautiful lakes , Highly recommend this cottage
Great stay at the Saddlers cottage it’s very cosy and it has got everything you need. We enjoyed local walks from Broughton in Furness and it was a good base for seeing other parts of the Lakes.
Local shop and butchers literally over the road also local pubs which are very friendly we had a nice meal at the Old Kings Head. Would highly recommend Saddlers Cottage.
We enjoyed a lovely stay here. Perfect cosy cottage with all you need. It is well equipped and clean, it is a great area with access to all the lakes have to offer. We really enjoyed the village life, lovely shops and plenty to watch!

Second stay here and found it as cosy and well equipped as ever. Gillian certainly went the extra mile for us, even coming out on the Saturday evening to bring us a key when we managed to lock ourselves out! Highly recommend.
Saddlers Cottage was just perfect for us! The cottage is beautifully decorated and was spotless upon arrival.
Gillian was very quick to respond during the booking process and once during our stay. Thank you for the generous welcome hamper! I enjoyed a peaceful coffee whilst sat in the sunny kitchen window looking out onto the quaint little street with a butchers, bakery and convenience shop.
The beds were so comfy with lovely linens. Gillian was kind enough to provide a little z bed for one of my sons, too.
Our boys loved the cosy upstairs area with bean bags, games and dvds. Perfect for them to unwind after a long day out walking, whilst we cooked dinner and enjoyed a glass of wine in the well-equipped kitchen.
The lounge was cosy and peaceful in the evenings.
Across the main square and to the right there is a big park and football pitch - also perfect for our family! We had no worries about the boys getting muddy, as the cottage has a washing machine and space to hang items. Very appreciated!
We visited The Kings Head pub (30 secs away) the day we arrived for a quick drink and then booked a table for dinner, which was delicious.
We hope to return one day and have already recommended the cottage to friends and family!
We were lucky enough to spend a month in Saddlers Cottage during winter. It’s a beautiful, cosy & well equipped cottage in a fab position in the village with easy access to explore the Southern Lakes. Beds are very comfy! We have booked again! Thanks Gillian

My family and I have just returned from a week in Broughton-in-Furness, and had a really enjoyable stay at Saddlers Cottage.
The location of the cottage is perfect, set in this undiscovered village, with good places to eat - The Kings Head very near by being our favourite.
The view from the cottage, looking down the street opposite, is like stepping back in time. A greengrocers, butchers and post office within a few yards is most welcome.
The cottage provided comfortable, clean, well provided for, accommodation, and it made a great base for touring the local area.

Had a great week at Gillian's cottage helped by several days of really good weather. The cottage is exactly as described in a lovely village with pubs and shops all within a minute's walk. We hope to return in the near future
Absolutely fell in love with this beautiful cottage. There is a bakery, convenience store, butcher and two pubs less than 50m away from the doorstep! The village itself is lovely and has beautiful views. Gillian has thought of everything within this cottage, the shower, appliances, bedding etc are all such high quality. We loved the putting the fire on in the evening which gave us that cosy cottage feel, the kitchen is a really generous size, with brand new appliances making it easy to self cater. The welcome basket was very thoughtful and Gillian replied quickly to any queries we had. We will be recommending the cottage to our families and friends and would definitely come back if we were to visit the Lake District again!
